Have you tried something for the first time and it didn’t work out? Were you disheartened, frustrated, and think you weren’t capable?
Don’t.
Fail, or “First Attempt In Learning”, happens when the outcome doesn’t meet our expectation. It’s a normal part of life.
However, how you choose to perceive failure is within your control. Some people see it as a growing opportunity, while others see it as a rejection.
There is always a silver lining. The ability of recognizing it is within us.
Emotion is the roadblock that prevents us from seeing that silver lining. Emotion makes us act while logic makes us think. When emotion takes over, pause, and think hard on what happened, what you want ultimately, and how you can make things better next time.
When it comes to challenges, generally speaking, there are two types of people: those who blame others for the outcome, and those who examine themselves first when things go against their wills.

It’s true that there are always factors outside your control. We can’t control how others think or what they choose to do. Remember, always focus on what’s in your control and make the best of it.
The toughest part for most people is to own up to their rooms for improvement, the very first step to learn from their"first attempt in learning".
Then, analyze what went wrong and adjust the approach. Reflect on what happened logically, and then ask yourself how you could have done it differently for a better outcome. When you move on to the next opportunity, you can strategize it better.

Last but not least, develop a learning mentality. When you fail, you are not alone. Knowing that failure is a learning opportunity and everyone who lived and lives on this planet has gone through it at least once. The question is whether or not you will learn and persevere.
In addition, your setbacks help you to build relationships. Failures make us human, making us approachable and relatable to others. Use it to your advantage: share your learning journey with others and learn from theirs in the meantime.
Remember, your past experience never disqualify you from achieving what you want in life, or define you in any way.
Everything happens for a reason, and everything in life is an experience. The universe may lead you to a place where you mean to teach you a lesson, make you see things better instead of black and white, meet some people and build relationships, and gain what you are lack of so you can reach further in life.
Always follow the sign from the universe and don't fight against it: if something comes to an end, it means to be. The universe will signal you the next venture once you are ready for it. Don't rush and take your time: pause, reflect, and work on yourself before diving into your next opportunity.

Having hard feeling after your first attempt in learning? It doesn’t have to be that way. Changing your perception of an experience can shift how you feel about it 180-degree. Always stay on the brighter side, celebrate your achievements, and appreciate the experience. From your entire first attempt in learning, you have nothing to lose but a lot to gain.
